Can you spot AI resources?

Hey there, Reader! Can you guess what all of these images have in common? They are all resources created by AI. How can you tell? They were all created by different people, yet the kids all look the same, with the same giant eyes. The color schemes are almost all the same. The little stars and hashmarks around the titles are the same. They all share the same "look" that's more than just using similar clip art. Why does this matter, you ask? A lot of us are shopping for classroom resources this time of year, and we all want quality, right? We want solidly educational content for our lesson plans. When you see AI covers like this, that might not be what you're getting. More often than not, the entire product was AI generated, and often contains many errors in content, spelling, and grammar. There has been a huge influx of "creators" who have never stepped foot in a classroom, have no teaching background, and have no idea what you need to teach - and they are all relying on AI to churn out products. When shopping for your printables this year, make sure you look closely at the thumbnails and previews to see what you're really getting. Here are some more clues that a product might not be a solid, teacher-created choice:
